Real estate training for Texas

Real estate continuing education courses are being developed by American Contractors. Courses will be based on subject matter such as Understanding New construction, Good design from a contractor's perspective and Working with Contractors. Real Estate professionals seem to be growing weary of the typical Contract Class and Agency Law. Check back soon for approved online real estate training courses. In the meantime, Math for Contractors, Roofing Math and Spanish for Contractors courses are available and may be beneficial to your career.

  • After January 1, 2006, Licensed Salespersons are required to complete 60 related classroom hours by the end of the first year of licensure. This is in addition to the 210 hours of prelicensing core real estate hours.
  • Prior to January 1, 2006, Licensed Salespersons are allowed up to three years from the date of licensure to complete the 270 hours.
  • MCE - Mandatory Continuing Education is specified by the Real Estate License Act. This act requires 15 classroom hours to be completed during each two-year renewal period. Six of the 15 hours must be approved Legal and Ethics courses.
  • All courses must be approved through TREC and can be verified by visiting the TREC website.
  • TREC approves various formats of Continuing Education including: Classroom, Video, Computer Based and Internet.
