Texas auctioneer continuing education online courses are currently being developed. These courses will cover a wide varity of topics including Uniform Commercial Code, Texas Business and Commercial Code, Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act, Business Practices, Insurance, Auction Ethics, Contracts, Maintenance of Trust Accounts, and Marketing. The online auctioneer training will be designed specifically for auctioneers in Texas. Remember to keep checking back to view the new online continuing education courses as they become available.

• To renew your Texas auctioneer and Associate Texas auctioneer license, the TDLR requires the completion of 6 hours of approved online continuing education courses during the term of the current license. 
• Two of the six Texas ce credit hours required must cover Texas laws and rules that regulate Texas auctioneers and associate Texas auctioneers. The other four Texas ce credit hours must be courses taken in one or more of the following subjects: Auction-related laws such as the Uniform Commerical Code, ethics, business practices, marketing, insurance, Texas Auctioneer’s laws and rules.
• All online continuing education courses must be approved through TDLR and can be verified by visiting the TDLR website
• TDLR approves various formats of Continuing Education including: Classroom, Video, Computer Based and Internet.  American Contractors Education Services specializes in online continuing education.
• Online Continuing Education providers must be able to verify adequate time has been spent by the auctioneer license holder.  American Contractors Education Services verifies this by timing each slide and prevents the licensee from fast-forwarding through the program.
• TDLR also requires Online Continuing Education providers to verify identity throughout the course.  Questions will be asked intermittently thoughout the course with the intention of verifying the person attending is actually the auctioneer license holder.
